Peedhi Surya Ghadi Hand-Hammered Brass Paraat

The Brass Paraat is where every roti begins — before the tawa, before the fire, before the table. Peedhi's Surya Ghadi Paraat is hand-hammered by artisans in Jagadhri, Haryana, in a radial pattern that radiates outward from the centre in fine, dense strikes — catching light in a way no straight-line or all-over pattern can. Made from pure brass, it arrives ready to use — no pre-treatment required.

Add your measured flour to the paraat. Create a well in the centre, add water gradually, and knead directly in the bowl - the Surya Ghadi texture gives your hands excellent grip on the dough. The depth of the paraat's walls prevents flour from escaping during mixing. For pooja use, the paraat doubles as a presentation tray for flowers, diyas, or prasad.

Do:
✓ Wash with mild soap and a soft cotton cloth or sponge after each use
✓ Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately - do not leave water sitting on the surface
✓ Polish exterior with tamarind (imli) + salt paste every 3-5 days for natural shine

Don't:
✗ Never use steel wool, abrasive scrubbers, or chemical bleach
✗ Do not put in the dishwasher
✗ Do not store acidic food (tamarind, lemon, curd) overnight in the vessel
